About the Cuban, our VP – Orlando Espinosa
We aren’t poking-fun at our senior executive. Actually, we relish in his story of success. Orlando’s parents seized an opportunity for a bigger and brighter future in the United States for themselves and their five children. His father’s education cut short to care for his family in Cuba at the young age of 10 meant an up-hill effort to provide for his own family now on U.S. soil. Orlando being the youngest sibling was the recipient of an abundance of love and support, but equally challenged to fund his own educational goals and dreams. So while he readily knows and understands today’s college students, he’s also walked that mile in their shoes, experiencing first-hand their constant struggles to pay the tuition, buy books and food, AND – send a little something home in appreciation to his parents for the life they’ve given him.
He’s also an impassioned and amusingly witty speaker, thought-provoking leadership education supporter, and a jovial conversationalist whose always fun to be around.
